In Pakistan, a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (BS IT) provides a broad education in computer science and information systems. Graduates with a BS IT degree can work in various industries, including software development, IT consulting, and system administration. Some common job titles for BS IT graduates in Pakistan include:

  1. Software developer
  2. IT analyst
  3. Systems administrator
  4. Network engineer
  5. Web developer

The salary range for these positions in Pakistan varies widely depending on the company, job role, and location. On average, entry-level IT professionals with a BS IT degree can expect to earn between PKR 25,000 to 50,000 per month. With experience and advanced certifications, IT professionals can earn upwards of PKR 100,000 per month.

Compared to other degrees in Pakistan, a BS IT degree is a competitive field with a strong demand for skilled professionals. However, the earning potential of a BS IT graduate will depend on various factors such as the job market, industry, and their skills and experience.

It's worth noting that the earning potential of a BS IT degree holder can be higher than some other degrees, but it's important to consider your interests and career goals before choosing a field of study.

Any Medical Degree is best option in Pakistan

Doctors are earning well, Even if you get a diploma and start something like Being a compoder then of course you are going to at least earn 50,000 per month. Every Clinic is full everywhere. You can get a specialist degree and start your own clinic.

Also you can get degree of Pharmacy and can open your own Medical Store

Here’s the straight poop: if you want to work in IT in the United States, you better have a 4 year degree in Information Systems/Technology or Computer Science. If you go the Computer Science route, you better do a minor in Business.

The reason is that HR people don’t think that people without Bachelor’s Degrees are able to the job. They’re also covering their asses just in case someone screws up. (You know, they can say, “but they had a bachelor’s degree. it’s not my fault they were so bad.”)

This is all my person experience. It’s somewhat better now. I know people with other degrees that got c

Its depend on personal interest I dont know why people ask it before select and get admission in any field except their interest and skills and after completion to their studies they beg to people for jobs and offers bribery .

some of them tell bad stories about their field and scope to newbies,

why we forget that we chose it by others opinion

we should go with our interest, skills and most important thing “passion” .

Always select that field in which we take interest or passion for it

Don’t influence by what people say always decide what you actually want

Most of us, complete graduation in mass com

To be honest NO !!! The main thing which decide your salary is your knowledge and your capability how you improve yourself and prove yourself in your company.

Degree in IT only makes you eligible for big MNC, start up & product based company. You have to clear the exam and interview by your own knowledge. If you have good knowledge you gonna get higher salary for sure. So, from now focus on your knowledge & if you have good knowledge , you don't need to think about your salary . So keep learning , all the best !!! :D

It doesn’t guarantee a higher salary but it increases your odds, primarily in two ways:

  • Understanding the fundamentals helps make you a better developer.
  • Some places won’t hire people without degrees, so having one opens more doors.

There are plenty of talented people in IT without degrees, and many of them make a high salary. And there are idiots with degrees. But on the whole people with degrees average a higher salary.

It depends on what kind of job or organizations you intend to work for.

With BS IT, you’ll have more of a rudimentary tasks to perform and career prospects are quite bright with organizations like PTCL, IBM and TRG hiring Network Engineers all the time. The booming call center industry is also a bright prospect for BS IT students.

BUT

there is no room for creativity as you will be involved most of the time in trouble shooting and problem solving.

In case you opt for BS-CS,

you’ll be able to actually create new modules, software and IT products for your employer. There are chances of becoming front-

Highest paid IT jobs in Pakistan include

  • System Analyst
  • Software Project Managers
  • Software Programmers and Developers (Ruby, PHP, dot Net and iOS)
  • Machine Learning
  • Mean Stack Developers
  • Frontend Designers and developers

A regular degree in my opinion is always better since face to face learning is more effective. Temporary on line classes due to pandemic is another matter

With an IT degree, you can work in a range of jobs. Anything from help desk or technical support for entry-level jobs, network and systems engineering, or management. While you earn the degree, you'll learn how to operate, repair, manage, and improve computer systems and networks.

What are your goals for a degree? What has led you to possibly pursuing an IT degree? Are you driven by a desire to work with computers, earn a good living, achieve work-life balance, or some other factor? In five years, I've been an intern, a computer technician, tech support administrator, systems administrator, an

You can become a....

1. Software developer/engineer

3. Network engineer
4. Database administrator
5. Bigdata analyst/ data engineer/scientist
6. IT consultant
7. IT project manager
8. IT manager

Yes. But there are some caveats you should know about. And this is less about degree and more about economics and political factors.

Offshoring still and will continue to complicate the prospects for income and success in the American (and perhaps other developed countries) market. Year over year growth has been much slower since the off-shoring movement started. Unless this is reversed it may continue to get worse.

Some of the hubs of IT in the US are getting more and more expensive. It may not do much good to make good money in information technology if it is so expensive to live that it takes

IT is many disciplines. Many many.

One works with hardware or software.

It's generally testing and repair, programming, set up, and installation, or coding, engineering, or manufacturing.

If software, you can consider specializing in server management, database development, programming the application layer, or working with the user interface.

One could also be a full stack developer, where you've come to understand the back-end, application, and front-end software installation and configuration.

And there are many subdisciplines beneath each of those concepts.

I wouldn't recommend a degree. Get a c

No, not really. Degree ensures that you do not start with bare minimum wage. That doesn’t mean you are going to get higher salary immediately. For people that work in IT industry, they usually have to show their capabilities and with it, salary can raise.

It's no secret that some majors make more money than others and I was curious to see exactly what majors make the most.

  1. Medical/Health Majors. PayScale estimates the average salary of a Radiologist to be around $290K a year.
  2. Engineering. ...
  3. Computers, Statistics, and Mathematics Majors.
  4. Architecture.
  5. Business.
  6. Social Sciences.

When I was in your situation, I had two options in mind :

  1. Start working and making money and being independant
  2. Gap year

I chose to start working, and I have been regreting it ever since.
Consider taking a gap year, or at least a few months off. And TRAVEL !

Regardless of any prior training or experience you can get a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology if the perspective school accepts you as a student.

If the word scope refers to demand in market, Info Tech does not have good scope in public sectors of Pakistan. Most of the jobs require experience of 3 to 5 years in relevant field in addition to international certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, DBA, Oracle, etc.

The number of vacancies announced per year in public sector for Veterinary Doctors outnumbers the vacancies for IT graduates.

No, loads of people make good money without an IT degree.

Mostly , BS (IT) will lead you to Networking, which is a good field but not much jobs in Pakistan.
But if you do or can transition into software development aka coding. Then you will have wide range of opportunities.

Choose any Coding stack, and advance in it.If you want to start IT career it’s difficult but here are some certifications which can help you attain knowledge and skills but in PAKISTAN it doesn't mean you gonna get a job.

Cisco (CCNA , CCNP , CCIE ) , Juniper Certs, ITIL , ISACA , MCSA/MCSE/MCSD etc.

Coding stacks => Java, Android , Web(PHP , SQL or The Official Microsoft ASP.NET Si

It depends on company and how you perform in the interview .It might be mostly form 5000/month in small company and around 2.40 Lakhs per year in a big .The big service companies can get you the bigger package .But understand it, in India your salary will always be less as compare to some one with BE ,ME MTech MCA and MsIT, MSc Computer because in india we compared a person with his degree not by knowledge and once you join the job you mostly don't want to go for study later .So I would suggest you first do your PG in MCA ,MsIT MSc Computer what ever you like .Until you really need to go for

It fully depends on the company. Below are the company level and approximate take home salary for B.sc IT degree.

Higher level company - 20,000 - 23,000/- per month

Mid level company - 15,000 - 18,000/- per month

Low level company - 10,000 - 13,000/- per month

Hope, this information helps to you.

Note: This salary is suggested based on development profile and considering the person as a fresher.

I'm sure you can get a picture frame to hold the degree in!

Oh, wait, are you asking what kind of salary you can make? Sorry, my mistake.

It depends on your level of practical experience, where you went to school, where you live, and of course, your communications skills.

I certainly hope your resume is phrased better than your question!

Any course you choose, regardless of what it is called, will not automatically be “worth it.” What do you mean by “worth it”? Even if “worth it” means getting a good job the answer is no if you are not able to convince a potential hirer you are “worth it.”

The gap year idea suggested here is tempting, but if you're thinking only on career moves, I'd go get some experience. There are a lot of things that can be learnt only by working, and the sooner you start working, the faster you'll be earning a decent salary. You can always get more formal education later if you feel you need it, and your experience in the field will help you choose what to study.

It may have good scope but I would bet on Software Engineering. This has much broader scope as it includes programming and cloud related scripting as well. Cloud is next gen technology and there is more demand all over the world. More computer and smartphone apps are being made and all with emerging programming languages. I know Python, Java and Ruby on Rails are...

No. Plenty of people make good money without a degree in IT, and many of them work in IT!
